Welcome to Junior High Art!
I hope everyone is planning and preparing for a busy year this year! We will start with drawing- learning about contour lines, shading, and form, and then move onto color theory. Be prepared to explore painting, printmaking, pastels, different forms of sculptures, and maybe even some clay.
Each Friday we will take a look at current working artists, as well as artists in history.
At the end of Junior high art, students will have a better understanding of important art movements as well as artists in history, why artists make art, how art affects our society, and how to make and express themselves through art. Junior High students will also have their artwork displayed on Artsonia under Advance High.
